Monthly Challenge

Join the monthly challenge, put together a winning selection of 10 stocks, and win exciting prizes.

To get started, we will need some basic information from you, and then you can dive right into the exciting challenges ahead!

The Monthly Challenge Rules:

The rules are simple: before the 1st of the month, just pick one stock in each category (10 categories) and watch your fantasy portfolio of 10 stocks grow in value. The fantasy portfolio with the highest returns at the end of the month wins.
The 10 categories are:

Providers: Companies in healthcare, financial services & service sector that are service providers
T&T: These are companies in the Technology and Telecommunication sector
Goods: Companies in consumer discretionary and fast moving goods sector that provide consumer goods

Factories: Companies in the industrial and diversified sector, producing goods in factories
Wild Card: Any company from any sector and of any capitalization and management style
Growth: Companies which have a 5 year sales CAGR above 15% and a PE ratio above 35
Income: Companies which part with most of their earnings by declaring dividends
Large Cap: Companies with market capitalization above ₹20,000 crores
Small Cap: Companies with market capitalization less than ₹5000 crore

Additional Rules:

  1. During the month, you have 5 chances to make changes to your fantasy portfolio.

  2. Only Fantasy portfolios submitted before the 1st of the month are eligible to win prizes.

  3. Portfolio returns are calculated using end-of-day prices.

  4. In the case of a tie, the prize will be shared.

  5. Towards the end of the month, the following month's challenge will be open, and you can add 10 stocks to your next month’s deck.

  6. The dashboard displays your overall performance (returns and rank) as well as your rank on the leaderboard. When you click on a category, you can view your returns in that specific category. The graph dynamically updates to show the stock name and return received.

The rules are even simpler. You will be presented with two categories: Large Cap stocks and Small Cap stocks. Your mission is to pick one from each and take on the 3-day challenge.

Campus Challenge

In September, as part of our broader aim to promote financial literacy in India, Nobias will be hosting our first intercollegiate Indian investing challenge, where students from Indian universities compete to win two lakhs in prizes. Past intercollegiate challenges include 2021 with over 40 student teams from the US and UK including Harvard, Yale, Oxford, Cambridge, and LSE, and 2022 with over 100 teams from the US, UK, India, France, and Italy.
